1. I am an absolute beginner & have never ever played the Guitar. Can I join?
Of course you can! We have well trained & experienced Instructors who teach beginners. If you have the interest and dedication, we will be more than happy to help you learn.
2. Can Chandresh Kudwa be my instructor even though I am a beginner?
Currently, beginners are handled by our highly skilled team of instructors and not by Mr. Chandresh Kudwa. Once you complete TheGuitarThing Grade 1, you will be assigned to Mr. Chandresh Kudwa’s batch.
3. How long will it take for me to learn the Guitar?
Learning to play the Guitar as a hobbyist can be achieved in around 6-10 months depending on the amount of practice time you put in. However, guitar playing has various skill levels which one can achieve similar to any other art form like painting, dancing etc. The higher the skill level you want to achieve, the longer it will take.
4. Do you teach Staff notations?
Yes we follow the Mel-Bay's Modern Guitar Method and interested students can enrol for the same.
5. Do you help students get a certificate?
Yes. We train students to appear for Trinity College of Music (London) & RockSchool Uk examinations.
6. I am a hobbyist and would like to only learn some favourite songs. Will I be able to do just that?
If you have the necessary skills to play the songs of your choice we can certainly help you learn them. If not, we would highly recommend completing our Grade1. Sometimes the instructor may even throw in a few songs during your Grade1 course.
7. Can I buy the Guitar once I learn it?
Learning to play the Guitar requires a lot of practice. It is impossible to learn to play it without having one at home for practice. Our advice would be to buy it as soon as you enrol.
8. Where can I buy the Guitar from?
We source good guitars at reasonable prices from local stores across Mumbai. You can check with us on the availability of guitars. If you are one of our students, your instructor will help you procure a Guitar depending on the your budget.
9. I do not live in close to your institute. Can I take lessons on Skype? Do online lessons really work?
Yes you can. Skype lessons work as much as a regular personal session would. If you are a beginner, you could choose to have a 15 minutes trial class to see how things work and get a first hand experience.
10. I don’t live in India. Can you provide me with Skype lessons?
Yes we can. In fact we have students all across the globe, including countries like USA, UK, Germany, Australia, Dubai.
11. I have been playing for a long time, but haven't really progressed much and feel stagnated. Can you help me?
In such cases, Mr. Chandresh Kudwa will assess & evaluate your playing and decide what the right course of action would be. Please feel free to write in or call us and get an evaluation appointment.
12. I want to join your institute. Whats the procedure for enrolment?
You will need to come in to the Institute, fill up the enrolment form, pay up your admission & class fees. The instructor will then allot a slot, at a mutually convenient day & time
